A Note on Counterfeit Tintypes, Daguerreotypes, & Ambrotypes
It is easy to assume that these types of historic images are no longer made and that the technology is dead. This is not so as there are many making wet collodion images in the Civil War reenactment field. Additionally, contemporary daguerreotypists make beautiful images that could easily be made on reconditioned period plates.
